Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1900

96th Street at Amsterdam Avenue, New York City, NY.

This opulent window, by the Mayer of Munich company, was exhibiting significant deflection, glass breakage, and paint loss was beginning to occur. The panels were removed and partially released, broken glass edge bonded with epoxy and the missing vitreous paint touched up with artists oil colors. Any missing glass was recreated with vitreous paint and kiln fired for permanence.
